Typical isn't it? When I first started this site I swore to try and steer clear of articles about two topics that only make your blood pressure rise: Sevco and their insane ramblings was the first one on my list, with the Daily Record running them a close second. Yet here we are a few articles into my blog and this piece is once again about the Daily Record. That glorified Rangers fanzine was at it again last week with their usual anti-Celtic muck stinking the place up to high heavens. Not only did they regurgitate a 4 year old story, they actively concocted a confusing headline which ensured our club's name got dragged through the mud AGAIN! There is no point getting into everything on this post as it has already been covered extensively in social media, fan forums and everyday conversation but this time they have gone too far.
A certain fanbase has already made their mind up about this and they have done so in typically ignorant fashion by way of brushing aside the facts. Despite their blindness to the truth and the Record's best efforts, this story will never be about Celtic. Our club paid their employees in good faith and what those employees choose to do with their wages is nothing to do with the club. Of course the hacks at the Record knew this but there was no way they were going to miss a chance to smear Celtic. This has the stench of Level 5 all over it and the time has surely come for Celtic to ban them all from Celtic Park. Stop giving them free passes and if they want to cover our games they can pay at the door like everyone else.
You have to wonder what the significance of this smear campaign is? Revenge for some imagined slight on Sevco? A shot across the bow to Peter Lawell? Or was it a case of deflection? Maybe the rumours of an impending financial Armageddon over at Ibrox have merit and this is their way of trying to silence the snipers. Such a move wouldn't surprise me and when the proverbial s*** hits the fan over there this story will be used as a way of evening the odds. It's a total non-story and the Daily Record excels in that whenever Celtic are concerned. They need told we will accept no more of this nonsense! They need to understand that ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!

Don't agree with banning the so called free press, but I would love to see Brendan do the same as Jurgen Klopp and refuse to answer questions from that despicable rag.
