Move Over Moussa..... Here's The Real Dembele

Today has been one of those hectic days where you deserve a big bottle of the finest after completing a mammoth task. In my case the mammoth task was the setting up of this very blog and my bottle of the finest was a super chilled 75CL of Bucky.... A wine connoisseur I am clearly not!  While kicking back to read the various Celtic news of the day I managed to miss one of the most unusual stories from Celtic park in years: The strange tale of 13 year old Karamoko Dembele's debut for Celtic.
before I continue I feel it is worth pointing out that young Karamoko was not making his first appearance alongside other players his age. Oh no! The young Ivorian came on as a sub for the UNDER 20's!!

Celtic's 13 year old superstar climbs off the bench to make
his debut for the Under 20's team.

Doesn't compute does it? The young playmaker didn't "look out of place" according to the Celtic Website. It boggles the mind because the closest I came to playing for Celtic at 13 was create a player on Fifa 97... In fact the closest most of us EVER get to playing for Celtic is in a computer game. For this youngster to be playing for the under 20's at such a young is an incredible tale, not to mention a very good indication of his ability and just how highly thought of he is at Celtic Park. Karamoko has a few awards towards his name already including the Bassevelde Cup Player of the Tournament and most are expecting him to make the grade in professional football at the highest level.

What can we expect to see next? Moussa Dembele fearing for his place in the starting eleven? Leigh Griffiths being relegated to third choice striker behind the two Dembele's? Whatever happens let's just hope our future star keeps his head screwed on and doesn't end up going down the same path as that other superstar in waiting: Islam Feruz......... Good luck wee man. Hail Hail
